Cameron Simpson
Contracts & Communication
As creatives, it feels as if there is a huge stigma around signing contracts when there really shouldn't be. Whether it's a record contract, producer contract or mix contract, they all serve the same purpose. To ensure that both parties are satisfied with the agreed upon terms of service.
As a producer that's main objective is to help artists achieve their desired vision. Clarity and transparency are essential to achieving this outcome. Although initial communications regarding said vision is relatively informal, if artists are looking to collaborate with Cameron Simpson Productions we will need to both agree upon a Pre-Employment contract that outlines everything from time and cost to promised deliverables/outcomes. Additionally, this will also include sections on "Copyright", "Fair treatment of Work" and "Health & Safety Guidelines" so that both parties are protected/respected - intellectually, physically, and mentally.
